Shown is an 1887-PI R five centavos, of a type struck at the Potosi mint 1869-79, 1886-93. This issue is among the more available dates, though it does not often appear so nice. Other mints include Hermosillo, Culiacan, Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Alamos and Guanajuato. An overdate, 1887/0, is recorded for the year.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.

Mintage: 169,000.
