This specimen was lot 72247 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1887-Cn M. Culiacan Mint. PCGS AU-58 Gold Shield. A seldom-seen minor, this attractively toned and lightly handled piece stands as the only graded of the date and mint in the PCGS census." Shown is an 1886Cn M five centavos, of a type struck 1871-76, 1886-97. This issue from Culiacan is a scarce date. Other mints include Hermosillo, Chihuahua, Durango, Zacatecas, Alamos, Guanajuato, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Oaxaca and Potosi.
