Shown is a balance scale fifty centavos, of a type struck 1869-1895. This issue from Guanajuato is a common date for the mint, which produced the type 1869-88. Other mints include Hermosillo, Mexico City, Durango, Culiacan, Chihuahua, Alamos, Zacatecas and Potosi. The SCWC records an overdate, 1883/2-Go B/S, and a rare second assayer S.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.903 fine silver, .393 troy oz ASW.
