This specimen was lot 71450 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1883-Zs S. Zacatecas Mint. NGC MS-65. Only example in NGC Census. Frosty white and very nice. Very rare condition for this common date. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." The Zacatecas mint struck silver ten centavos of this design 1870-97 with assayer S reported for 1876-86. An 1883/73 overdate is reported in the SCWC but awarded no premium.

Recorded mintage: 102,000.

Specification: 2.70 g, 0.903 fine silver, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
