This specimen was lot 47162 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $1,680. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Gold 10 Pesos, 1883/2-Zs S. Zacatecas Mint. NGC Unc Details--Obverse Improperly Cleaned. From the Murcia Collection of Mexican Gold Coinage." The Zacatecas mint struck this denomination in small to moderate quantities 1871-95. A few small hoards have turned up, making this one of the more available mints but this date is rare.

Specification: 16.92 g, 0.875 fine gold.
