This specimen was lot 71088 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1871-Cn P. Culiacan Mint. NGC MS-62. Finest and only Mint State of just two coins graded at NGC. Scarce date that is missing in the Banco de Mexico Collection. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." Shown is an 1871-CN P five centavos, of a type struck 1871-76 and 1886-97. This issue from Culiacan is the key date. Assayer P is noted for 1871-76.

Recorded mintage: unknown but the key date.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, 14 mm diameter, reeded edge.
