Eliasberg lot 3372

This specimen was lot 3372 in the Eliasberg sale, where it sold for $1092.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "1871 G 10 pesos. Guadalajara mint. AU-55 (NGC). Types as above. Medium gold, with faint orange gold toning. A crudely prepared issue, with planchet granularity and adjustment marks. Rim bump at 12:00 on obverse. From the John H. Clapp Collection; Clapp estate to Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr., 1942."
