Alamos Mint. NGC AU-55. Rather elusive in the grade according to Dunigan and Parker, this wonderful example retains much original mint luster along with an impressive strike quality. Glossiness shimmers and sheens on the surfaces, and this piece provides an exceptional appeal to any specialist in the Cap and Rays series." The Alamos mint struck eight reales 1864-95. Many of the early dates are rare but the 1871-A is an affordable date tho not common.
