This specimen was lot 72029 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1813-Mo HJ. Mexico City Mint. Ferdinand VII. PCGS EF-45. The penultimate year of the armored bust for this denomination. A decently struck and evenly worn coin, with no distracting marks, and endowed with gentle gray toning." Assayers JJ and HJ are known for this date, with HJ being the rarer. The type was struck in Mexico City 1809-14, after which the standard bust of Ferdinand VII was adopted.
