This specimen was lot 22757 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $1,410. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1814-HJ. NGC MS-65. Nice strike with fabulous iridescent toning and great eye appeal." Assayer HJ is recorded for the years 1809-15. The one reales of 1814, divided between assayer HJ and JJ and the imaginary and draped bust, are all scarce.
