This specimen was lot 43103 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted,

"FRANCE. Constitution. Silver 20 Sols Token, Year 4/1792. Paris (Lefèvre, Lesage & Cie) Mint. PCGS MS-62. Plain edge. Fairly well struck and highly attractive, this specimen displays a subtle pastel iridescence upon each side. From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquired from Jacques Schulman in Amsterdam on 2 November 1966)."

Lefèvre, Lesage & Cie seem to have been competitors to the better known Monneron Freres. They had struck silver ten and twenty sol tokens which, if exchangeable for écus, as they likely were, would have been worth 1/12 and 1/6 écu. A variety of the twenty sols (KM Tn20) exists with "PARIS" at the bottom instead of to the right as shown here.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 2.93 g.

Catalog reference: KM Tn21, Maz-133 (R1).
