This specimen was lot 71369 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Empire. Franc, Year 12-I (1803/4). Limoges Mint. Napoleon I. PCGS EF-45. Exhibiting minimal evidence of time spent in commerce and with some enticing brilliance remaining among the protected areas, this minor is quite wholesome and appealing, though a minor planchet flaw is noted near the center of the reverse. From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquired from Lepczyk in March 1984 for $40). Ex: George Sobin Collection (Joseph Lepczyk - 3/1984) Lot # 1176 (part of)." This type was struck years 12-14 and the Paris mint product is moderately common.

Recorded mintage: 43,233 + 279,470 of the Premier Consul type (F.200/13)[2], a scarce date.

Specification: 5 g, 0.900 fine silver, 23 mm diameter, decorated edge.
