This specimen was lot 3743 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €1,900 (about US$2,493 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA, Volksrepublik. 50 Yuan 1995. Erfindungen und Entdeckungen des Altertums. Blockdruck. 15,55 g Feingold. GOLD. Nur 1.200 Exemplare geprägt. Mit Originalzertifikat. Polierte Platte. (people's republic of China, fifty yuan of 1995, ancient inventions and discoveries, block printing. Only 1,200 pieces struck, With original certificate, proof.)"
