This specimen was lot 22440 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 50 Yuan, 1996. Silk Road. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. A brilliant proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. Sold with original display case and certificate of authenticity #2062."

Recorded mintage: 10,000 proofs.

Specification: 11.32 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.331 troy oz AGW.
