This specimen was lot 70356 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 10 Yuan, 1996. Panda Series. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. A brilliant and attractive proof with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices." For some reason, Chinese mint authorities decided to issue two different silver pandas in 1996; this one and KM 892.

Recorded mintage: 8,000.

Specification: 31.11 g, 0.999 fine silver, 39.8 mm diameter.
