This specimen was lot 71217 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $912. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE. Empire. 2 Francs, Year 13-W (1804/5). Lille Mint. Napoleon I. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. Mintage: 10,503. Though lightly cleaned as noted, this minor also displays very little in the way of actual handling. From the Richard Margolis Collection (acquired from Lepczyk in 1984 for $250). Ex George Sobin Collection (Joseph Lepczyk - 3/1984) Lot # 1232." This type was struck years 12-14 and the Paris mint, tho the most available mintmark, is not common. In 1806 the French revolutionary calendar was dropped and normal AD dating resumed.

Recorded mintage: 10,503, a scarce date.

Specification: 10 g, 0.900 fine silver, 27 mm diameter, lettered edge.

Catalog reference: KM-658.15; Gad-495; F.251/26.
