Sincona sale 69, lot 84

This specimen was lot 84 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 425 CHF (about US$564 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA | Volksrepublik. 10 Yuan 1995, Shenyang mint. Panda. Large date. FDC. In Originalverschweissung. (people's republic of China, ten yuan panda of 1995, large date, Shenyang mint. Uncirculated, In original capsule.)"

The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more.

Recorded mintage: 45,007 proofs.
