Sincona sale 80, lot 2173

This specimen was lot 2173 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$240 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA | Volksrepublik, 10 Yuan 1993. Panda. Small date. NGC MS68." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more.

Recorded mintage: 86,318 plus proofs.

Specification: 3.11 g, 0.999 fine gold, 0.100 troy oz AGW. This specimen is 3.12 g.
