This specimen was lot 32641 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "People's Republic gold 25 Yuan 1993 MS68 NGC. Type with two peacocks. Virtually perfect and worthy of a strong bid." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more. This one features peacocks.

Recorded mintage: unknown but all proofs.

Specification: 7.77 g, 0.999 fine gold, .249 troy oz AGW.
