This is an example of an eight reales minted at the Mexico City mint, assayers CH. Assayer TH also exists for 1861. The first specimen was lot 72644 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $446.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1861-MoCH. NGC MS-64. Good strike with strong flashy luster."
