The first specimen was lot 21565 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $1,035. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic 4 Reales 1868/58 Go-YF, MS62 NGC, nicely toned with full underlying mint luster, well-struck on both sides. Very scarce and popular type in mint state. The 6 is clearly engraved over a 5." This specimen is a four reales minted at the Guanajuato mint. Four reales were minted there from 1835-1870, with assayer YF running the years 1862-70.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.3925 troy oz ASW.
