This specimen was struck at the San Luis Potosí mint in 1851. This mint struck silver coins 1825-93, with one reals recorded for 1831, 1837-62. The one reals from this mint are not rare but are priced, on average, double the contemporary products from Zacatecas or Guanajuato.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, 0.903 fine silver, .099 troy oz ASW.
