This type was struck at Guanajuato 1826-68, with assayer PF listed for 1848-61. This specimen was lot 8158 in Ponterio sale 159 (Baltimore, March 2011), where it sold for $316.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guanajuato. 1/2 Real, 1851-GoPF. NGC MS-65." The SCWC notes no varieties. This date is listed as common.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.69 g, 0.903 fine silver, .049 troy oz ASW.
