Spain 1611-S B 4 reales
This specimen was lot 8249 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. Cob 4 Reales, 1611-S B. Seville Mint. Philip III. NGC MS-64. Pop: 1, and the only Uncirculated example graded by NGC. Last digit of date clear, and visible mintmark and assayer letter. A broadly struck Cob with good detail on the centers. The surfaces are softly lustrous with a pleasant, light gray tone throughout." This cob was issued from Seville 1601-04 and 1610-21. Assayers B and D are both recorded for 1611. Similar cobs were produced at Madrid, Valladolid, Toledo and Segovia. Segovia also issued milled 4 reales.
