This specimen was lot 2120 in Sedwick Auction 37 (Winter Park, FL, May 2025), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN, Seville, cob 4 reales, 1611 D. About Fine with date a bit weak but with bold assayer and denomination, nearly complete shield and cross, dull gray-toned surfaces with dark sedimentation in the recessed areas." This cob was issued from Seville 1601-04 and 1610-21. Assayers B and D are both recorded for 1611. Similar cobs were produced at Madrid, Valladolid, Toledo and Segovia. Segovia also issued milled 4 reales.
