This specimen was lot 1414 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 35 (Winter Park, FL, May 2024), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN, Segovia, milled 8 reales, Philip III, 1611 C. Bold AU- with light toning, minor surface irregularity (as made), popular type." This milled eight reales was issued from Segovia 1607-21. A 1611/09 overdate is reported. Cob eight reales were produced at Madrid, Valladolid, Toledo and Seville but Segovia was the only mint milling coins. Segovia also issued cob 8 reales.
