This specimen was lot 72252 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $456. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 50 Centavos, 1882-Go S. Guanajuato Mint. NGC AU-55. Second finest and highest numerically graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." Shown is a balance scale fifty centavos, of a type struck 1869-1895. This issue from Guanajuato is common, despite the tiny mintage reported. Like all fifty centavos of the republic, it is very rare in high grade.

Recorded mintage: 18,000, a common date.

Specification: 13.54 g, 0.903 fine silver, 30.5 mm diameter, reeded edge.
