This specimen was lot 71284 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 20 Pesos, 1882-GoS. NGC MS-62. From a mintage of only 4,020 pieces. Second finest certified at NGC, none at PCGS. Sharply struck and brilliant." The Guanajuato mint struck twenty peso gold pieces 1870-1900 in sufficient quantity to be the second commonest mint after Mexico City.
