Mexico 1881-Zs JS 8 reales

from the Stack's Bowers 2020 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71275

This specimen was lot 71275 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $144. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1881-Zs JS. Zacatecas Mint. NGC MS-62. This is a charming example with exemplary color and sparkling silvery luster. A bit flatly struck at center reverse, yet still maintaining significant eye appeal." This late date from the Zacatecas mint is common.
