This specimen was part of lot 72303 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), which sold for $512.40. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Septet of Reales (7 Pieces), 1837-53. Durango Mint. Grade Range: VERY GOOD to VERY FINE. 1) 1837-Do RM/RL. 2) 1837-Do RM/ML. 3) 1841-Do RM. 4) 1842/32-D RM. 5) 1846-Do RM. 6) 1852/0-Do JMR. Rare. 7) 1853-Do CP. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." One reales were struck at the Durango mint 1832-37, 1841-64. Assayer RM (Ramon Mascarenas) is listed for 1832-48. Unlike the half real, where gem specimens turn up occasionally, one reales nearly always appear heavily circulated.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a somewhat better date.
