This specimen was lot 23278 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Escudo, 1841-MoML. Mexico City Mint. PCGS AU-58 Secure Holder. Remaining quite lustrous with light orange tone over some of the highpoints." The Mexico City mint produced one escudos 1825-27, 1830-34, 1841-50, 1856-63 and 1869. Most of its issues are classed as common.
