This specimen was lot 73043 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $317.20. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 2 Reales, 1832/0-Ga FS. Guadalajara Mint. NGC VF-30. Second finest of just two examples graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." The Guadalajara mint produced two reales nearly continuously 1825-62. The SCWC prices the regular date as common and this 1832/0 as rare. Assayer FS served 1825-36. Other mints include Zacatecas, Mexico City, Alamos, Hermosillo, Potosi, Culiacan, Chihuahua, Durango, Guanajuato, Estado de Mexico, Real de Catorce and Guadalupe y Calvo. Only Oaxaca did not strike this type. This type, legal tender in the pre Civil War United States for a quarter, is common except in uncirculated.
