Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction, lot 72434

This specimen was lot 72434 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $149. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1832-Zs OM. Zacatecas Mint. NGC EF-45. Second finest graded by NGC. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." One reales were struck at Zacatecas 1826-62 and 1868-69. Assayer OM (Manuel Ochoa and Manuel Miner) served 1831-56. Unlike the half real, where gem specimens turn up occasionally, one reales nearly always appear heavily circulated.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a fairly common date.
