This specimen was lot 72201 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. Taler, 1727-EPH. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg Ludwig (George I of Great Britain). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details. Despite the cleaning, this example is yet steely gray and wholesome, with a pleasant and charming example throughout. Certain to be much demanded for the type."
