Künker Auction 441, lot 4730

This specimen was lot 4730 in Künker sale 441 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €3,600 (about US$4,953 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Ferdinand II., 1592-1618-1637. Dicker doppelter Reichstaler 1625, Wien. Von größter Seltenheit. Leichte Bearbeitungsspuren im Rand, sehr schön. Aus der Sammlung Kommerzialrat Dr. Herbert Wenzel, Wien. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand II, 1618-37, double thaler of 1625, Vienna mint. Extremely rare, tooling on edge, very fine.)"
