This specimen was lot 22335 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $2,232.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic gold 20 Pesos 1874 Go-S, AU55 NGC. Nicely struck, with noticeable remaining luster." Despite a steady production of twenty pesos for 1870-1905, twenty pesos are few. Guanajuato is a common mint for the type.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 33.84 g, 0.875 fine gold, .952 troy oz AGW.
