Sincona sale 91, lot 3673

This specimen was lot 3673 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$496 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbtaler 1726, Zürich. Spruch. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, half thaler of 1726, Zürich mint, motto reverse. Very fine-extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1723-36, 1739-45, 1748, 1751-61, 1767-68 along with a half thaler with a city view reverse.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 13.13 g, silver, 32 mm diameter, this specimen 13.66 g.
