Sincona sale 98, lot 4664

This specimen was lot 4664 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$472 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Taler 1726, Zürich. Variante: Stadtansicht. Gezackter Rand. Fast vorzüglich. Kleine Kratzer. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zürich, thaler of 1726, Zürich mint, city view. About Extremely Fine, Small scratches.)"

This thaler, with two lions on the obverse, was struck 1722-28.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specifications: silver, 40 mm diameter, this specimen 27.66 g.
