Sincona sale 91, lot 3674

This specimen was lot 3674 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 1,100 CHF (about US$1,454 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Taler 1727, Zürich. Stadtansicht. Vorzüglich. Feine Patina. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, thaler of 1727, Zürich mint, city view. Extremely fine, Nicely toned.)"

This type was struck 1722-28 along with a motto reverse thaler (Dav-1786).
