Sincona sale 39, lot 4789

This specimen was lot 4789 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it sold for 3,200 CHF (about US$3,838 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Zürich, Dukat 1726. Sehr selten. Fast FDC. Kleiner Schrötlingsfehler. (canton of Zürich, ducat of 1726. Very rare. About uncirculated. Minor planchet defect.)"

This type was struck without change 1718-67 yet remains scarce.
