Sincona sale 98, lot 4663

This specimen was lot 4663 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$544 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Vierteldukat 1726, Zürich. Selten. Gutes vorzüglich. Gewellt. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zürich, quarter ducat of 1726, Zürich mint. Rare, About Uncirculated, Wavy flan.)"

This quarter ducat was struck 1718-36, 1739-48, 1751-53, 1756-61 and 1767. It is the most common issue of this denomination from Zürich.
