This specimen was lot 4661 in SINCONA Auction 98 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$232 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbtaler 1725, Zürich. Variante: Spruch. Gezackter Rand. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zürich, half thaler of 1725, Zürich mint, legend reverse. Very Fine.)"
This type was struck 1723-36, 1739-45, 1748, 1751-53, 1756-61, 1767-68 along with a half thaler with a city view reverse. At the beginning of the eighteenth century, the thaler was raised from 72 schilling to 80 schilling.
