This specimen was lot 71255 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $180. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1894-Go RS. Guanajuato Mint. PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield. Pleasing steel gray surfaces dominate this near choice specimen, featuring a deeper tone as one approaches the peripheries along with accentuating the devices." This is a common date.
