The first specimen was lot 449 in Morton & Eden sale 104 (London, November 2019), where it sold for £320 (about US$496 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic, 8 reales, Guadalajara mint, 1856/4 JG, typical weakness of striking, extremely fine or better. Ex Guzman collection." Along with the regular date, the SCWC reports the overdates 1856/4 and 1856/5.

Recorded mintage: unknown but somewhat scarce.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, 0.785 troy oz ASW.
