This specimen was lot 11093 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $411. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Mexico City. Real, 1821-MoJJ. Toned with underlying luster. NGC MS-64." This specimen is from a type was struck in Mexico City 1814-21, superseding the imaginary bust of Ferdinand VII used 1809-14. The 1821 is the only really common date. A few Iturbide one reales were struck in 1822 but the republican cap-and-ray type did not commence until 1825. It is possible more 1821's were struck in later years.
