This specimen was lot 1148 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $258.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRUNSWICK-CALENBERG-HANNOVER: Johann Friedrich, 1665-1679, AR 24 mariengroschen, 1674, PCGS graded MS61, ex Don Erickson Collection." This German type was struck 1672-74. It was part of the fad in the 1670's for gulden (equals 24 mariengroschen or 2/3 thaler). There is also KM 155, KM 156, KM 157, KM 158 for 1674. The duke also struck one, two, four, six and 12 mariengroschen.
