This specimen was lot 657 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €260 (about US$351 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRAUNSCHWEIG-LÜNEBURG, HERZOGTUM Johann Friedrich, 1665-1679. 24 Mariengroschen 1675, Clausthal. Winz. Zainende, vorzüglich. (duchy of Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg, John Frederick, 1665-79, 24 mariengroschen of 1675, Clausthal mint. Minor clip, extremely fine.)"
These two-thirds thalers (or gulden) are often more available than the larger thalers. This type of 1674-76 is common.
