This specimen was lot 73481 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Brunswick. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1674. Zellerfeld Mint. Rudolph August. PCGS AU-53. This coin exhibits uniform dove gray surfaces with splashes of gold toning on the obverse. Generally well-struck with slight softness in the Wild Man due largely to light wear, though other areas are noted as being somewhat softly struck. Attractive. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1674-79 and is moderately priced.
