Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg 1673 12 mariengroschen
This specimen was lot 41349 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 12 Mariengroschen, 1673. Zellerfeld Mint. Johann Friedrich I. PCGS AU-58. Standard Catalog of World Coins omits the year 1673 for the type. Welter lists 1673 for the type. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." Per the SCWC, this type, equal to one-third thaler, was struck 1669-79. There are also twelve mariengroschen such as KM 122 (without "12") and KM 123 (leaping stallion reverse). Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg and Brunswick-Luneburg-Celle were traded back and forth between brothers until death left only one, who became the elector of Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover ("Hannover" for short) and later king of England.
