This specimen was lot 6395 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $138. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Mexico City. 8 Reales, 1850 (5/4)-GC. SCARCE overdate. One small edge nick. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." The SCWC lists the regular date slightly scarce and the 1850/40 overdate as somewhat scarce.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 27.07 g, .903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
